1. Award will be conferred to Indian citizen for his/her contributions to Entomology.
2. Applicant should be Indian citizen and must hold a regular academic/research position in a recognized academic institution or University or National laboratory or in any other recognized R&D institutions in India and should be a member of Entomological Society of India.
3. Nominee should be more than 40 and not have crossed 50 years of age as on 31st December 2024.
4. Nominees awarded for the same work by any agency/society/institution in the last two years will not be considered.
5. Former or present Vice-Chancellors of Universities/ Principals of Colleges/ Directors of Central or State or Private research institutions / Heads of the Departments not below the rank of professors/ Fellows of Entomological Society of India (ESI) can nominate suitable candidates for the award.
6. Ten best publications of the nominee should accompany the nomination. List the research publications with DOI in the descending order of NAAS score of the Journals (NAAS journal ID and NAAS score).
7. The Judging Committee chaired by the President, ESI will comprise eminent entomologists constituted by the society, will evaluate the nominations and select the awardees. The decision of President, ESI will be final.
8. There are two awards under this category, in exceptional cases it can be increased or decreased based on award committee's decision. A citation and memento will be given to the awardees in a simple public ceremony/through post (in absentia) (The date & the venue will be notified as and when finalized).
9. Each awardee will have to present his/her research work in an awards ceremony/seminar.
10. The applicant must not have received a similar award for the same accomplishments in last two years.
Complete nominations are to be submitted through online portal of ESI (www.entosocindia.org) in single PDF (hardcopy will not be entertained) on or before 11.59 PM of the 31 October 2025. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
