1.Applicant/s should be a member of the Entomological Society of India (ESI) in good standing.
2. The Award will be conferred to an Indian citizen, firm, or team for their innovations/inventions made in any areas of plant protection that has enabled farmers to protect crops, increase profits, minimize environmental damage, save money and materials without compromising on efficacy.
3. Applicant should be an Indian citizen and must hold a position in a recognized industry or in any other recognized R&D institution/entomological enterprise registered in India.
4. The applicant must have at least fifteen (15) years of experience in industry.
5. There is no age limit for applying for the award.
6. Former or present Vice-Chancellors of Universities, Principals of Colleges, Directors of Central or State or Private research institutions, Heads of Departments not below the rank of professors, or Fellows of the Entomological Society of India (ESI) can nominate suitable candidates for the award. Self-nomination is strictly not accepted.
7. The candidate should be a role model among his/her peers, demonstrating exemplary professional conduct and contributions to the field.
8. The award committee nominated and chaired by the President, ESI will evaluate the nominations and select the awardees. The decision of the award committee will be final and binding.
9. Total number of awards will be two (2), in exceptional cases it can be increased or decreased based on award committee's decision. Each award consists of a citation and memento.
10. Complete nominations are to be submitted through the online portal of ESI (www.entosocindia.org) in a single PDF format. Hardcopy submissions will not be entertained. All submissions must be received on or before 11:59 PM of the 31 October 2025. No correspondence will be entertained regarding submission deadlines or procedures.
11. The applicant/s must not have received a similar award for the same accomplishments in the last two years preceding this application.
